Smartphones available to prepaid subscribers for the first time in Serbia

February 4, 2013 – Today, leading music subscription service Deezer is opening the world of music to fans in Serbia. A catalogue with over 20 million tracks of numerous local and foreign performers is available to subscribers to new Telenor Play+ postpaid and prepaid packages as of today. In addition to all benefits provided by these packages, subscribers also get 500 MB of traffic for Deezer music. Besides a wide range of smartphones for postpaid subscribers, now prepaid users can choose one of the two smartphones offered by Telenor with these packages.

Deezer enables customers to access music from anywhere with their mobiles and even enables them to listen when offline by allowing them to download albums and playlists. Users simply create their music profile, choose their favourite artists and make playlists, which they can share with friends on Facebook and Twitter.

At the presentation of this service, promoted for the first time in Serbia, Laurent Billion, Chief International Officer in Deezer, talked about the simplicity of music subscription services and Deezer’s ambitions in Serbia:

For the first time in Serbia, prepaid subscribers can buy smartphones with a package. Users of the Play+ tariff package can choose one of the two offered models - Telenor Smart and Samsung Ace Plus.

In the first 30 days, all new subscribers can test Deezer music for free for 15 days, with 500 MB provided exclusively for listening to the music. After that, every time when they top up their phone with RSD 500, at a minimum, in a 30-day period, they get 30 new days of Deezer music and 500MB to use.

Users who choose any of the offered phones with this package have an opportunity to get monthly bonuses of RSD 500 in the following year, with Deezer music and megabytes for listening to the music.

Postpaid offer

Postpaid subscribers have at their disposal Telenor Play+ packages in three sizes - M, L and XL. They all have an option of unlimited use of the Deezer service, text messages and the Internet. With these packages, subscribers can choose any of smartphones from Telenor offer, with Telenor Smart and Samsung Ace Plus being recommended.

All Play+ packages have an option of transferring unused minutes to all networks in the subsequent three months.

During the promo period, from February 01, 2013, until the supplies are out, all subscribers who sign a contract for the Play+ package and buy a phone, can also buy earphones for RSD 1.

Telenor and Deezer are presenting a completely new Deezer Music service. This service, Premium +, enables you to listen online and offline to music from a base of more than 25 million songs from the international, local and regional catalogue.

*Terms of Use

Deezer Music (Premium+) is intended only for physical persons.
You can activate this tariff add-on regardless of the tariff package you are using.
The price of the service is 495 RSD with tax for 30 days of use.
You can use the service on your PC/laptop, smart phone and/or tablet.
In order to use this service on your smart phone, all you need to do is switch on GPRS or a wi-fi connection.
After activation of Deezer Music tariff add-on, Telenor enables access to Deezer service.

Registration and activation of a Deezer account is the sole responsibility of the user. You can follow the registration process at portal Moj Telenor.

Except for the activation of this tariff add-on, in order to use Premium+ service, the user needs to open his/her Deezer account and connect it by entering the activation code.

By activating the tariff add-on, subscription for it is charged every 30 days, regardless whether the user has opened his/her account at Deezer website, or via the application, or wrongly conducted the registration.

Along with the activation of this music tariff add-on, you will get additional 2 GB of data traffic which can be used solely for listening to Deezer music. After you use up the additional 2 GB of traffic, you will continue using the data throughput according to your tariff package.

The service is not available with the following tariff packages: Ista Cena Start, Ista Cena, Mikro Hibrid.

Promo period

The first 15 days of use of this service is free of charge for all users who activate the tariff add-on and register a Deezer account. Every user is responsible for his/her Deezer account. Downloading of the application from a market is free of charge.

Example for post-paid users: If you activate the promo period, for instance, on the 12th day of a month, it will last until the 27th. If you continue using the service after the expiry of the 15-day promo period, the account for the current month shall be charged with 495 RSD with tax.

With the activation of the music tariff add-on, you will get additional 2 GB of data traffic and promo period which you can use solely for listening to Deezer music. After you use up the additional 2 GB of traffic, you will use the throughput from your tariff package.

Prepaid

If you wish to continue using Deezer music, 15 days after the beginning of the promo period, you need to subscribe for the service. In order to use this service, after expiry of every 30 days, you need to subscribe again via Moj Telenor.

If you subscribe again within 30 days, you will be able to use the service for the next 30 days after subscription date at the charge of 495 RSD for each subscription.

For example: if you subscribe to the service on April 1 for the first time and then again on April 15, you will be charged 495 RSD both times, and the service will be available until May 15.

Note: Subscription is completed by a click on the “Activate” button.

When the 30-day period after subscription to the service expires, the service shall automatically be de-activated.

With the activation of the music tariff add-on, you will get additional 2 GB of data traffic which can be used solely for listening to Deezer music. After you use up the additional 2 GB of traffic, you will continue using the throughput from your tariff package.

Postpaid

After 15 days from the beginning of the promo period, the service shall automatically be charged for each started month of use, at the price of 495 RSD.

If you wish to cancel (de-activate) the service before charging begins, you need to deactivate the tariff add-on before the expiry of the promo period.

Subscription shall automatically be renewed until you cancel (deactivate) it.

You can deactivate the service via Moj Telenor. Deactivation is free of charge.

Along with the activation of the music tariff add-on, you will get additional 2 GB of data traffic which you can use solely for listening to Deezer music. After using up these additional 2 GB of traffic, you will use the data throughput provided by your tariff package.

By activation of the tariff add-on, the subscription shall be charged every 30 days, regardless whether the user has opened an account at Deezer website, via the application, or registered by mistake.

Note: When checking the current status, 495 RSD shall not be visible. The amount of 495 RSD shall appear in the bill for the month when the service was activated.

During the use of Blogmusik’s Deezer Music, data traffic is applied as streaming traffic. Streaming technology is a data stream which generates continuous data throughput during service use (listening to music). Contents and functionalities published, posted or controlled by a third party, which are within the service (some components of registration, search, playlist, image or video clips of performers, Facebook sharing) are the responsibility of Blogmusik.

Data throughput of Deezer Music transmits streaming throughput of 128 Kbps (960 KB/Minute) on mobile devices and up to 320 Kbps (2400 KB/minute) on PC depending on configuration.

Use of Blogmusik’s Deezer Music by streaming can generate intensive data traffic, so Telenor grants its users additional 2 GB of data traffic. When this bundle is used up, the user continues to use the service by using the next data bundle or from the tariff package.

Recommendation: In order to reduce data throughput, music files can temporarily be stored, depending on the possibilities of the devices and parameters determined by Blogmusik. That is why we recommend that you use offline mode.

The service enables access to musical service called Deezer Music which is the responsibility of Blogmusik. When the service is cancelled, the right to access is cancelled and user’s account is suspended.
