Ford Focus Powershift

Jun 03, 2020 An email sent prior to the launch of the 2012 Ford Focus featuring the Powershift transmission, indicating Ford engineers were well aware of problems prior to cars going on sale.

Ford Focus Powershift Clutch Replacement Cost

The Ford Powershift transmission is, in design and general operation, a manual gearbox. It uses a clutch between the motor and transmission (two of them, actually.hence calling it a 'dual clutch transmission'), and the transmission itself is designed internally much like a manual transmission. On the newer Ford Focus, PowerShift automatic transmission problems (this is actually an electronically shifting/ controlled dry clutch gearbox) have been found to occur. Ford Motor Company has identified that certain 2013 to 2016 model year Focus’s equipped with the DSP6 PowerShift automatically shifting manual transmission may have seal failures that contaminate the dual-plate dry clutch.Your Ford Focus may qualify for a buyback under the California Lemon Law, or you may be entitled to substantial cash compensation in the thousands of dollars. Dec 12, 2018 A Ford transmission lawsuit settlement is on the way as the automaker agreed to settle the class-action lawsuit concerning Ford Focus and Fiesta dual-clutch 'PowerShift' transmissions that jerk, hesitate and shudder. The lawsuit was consolidated and settled. Status settled read original case Class Vehicles. 2011-2016 Fiesta; 2012-2016 Focus.
